Privacy Policy

Who we are

This is the website for Autistic AF. Our website address is https://www.autisticafter40.com.

What we collect

This is a static website. We do not run comments, user accounts, or logins, and we do not set our own tracking or advertising cookies. Our web host keeps standard server access logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not used to personally identify visitors.

Embedded content from other websites (YouTube)

Pages on this site include YouTube videos. The video player itself loads only after you click play, and we use YouTube's privacy-enhanced (“no-cookie”) mode. Once you choose to play a video, YouTube may set cookies and collect data about you in the same way as if you had visited YouTube directly. Your activity on YouTube is governed by Google's privacy policy and is not shared with us.

To be straight with you about one thing that happens earlier: the still thumbnail images you see before pressing play are served by Google (from i.ytimg.com), on the homepage, the research page, and any page with a video on it. Loading those images tells Google your IP address and browser details, in the same way that visiting any website tells that site's server. We ask your browser not to pass on which page you were looking at. No cookie is set by us, and no video is played, until you choose to play one.

Third-party services

We link to services run by other companies, including Patreon, Ko-fi, and our Spreadshop / Spreadshirt merchandise store. When you visit or buy from those services, they process your data under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your payment details or delivery address. Patreon may share your username and limited account metadata with Discord for automated role management; details are in Patreon's and Discord's respective policies.

Getting in touch by email

If you email [email protected], we keep your message so we can reply. Emails are typically deleted after 12 months, though some may be kept longer where there's a clear reason (for example, competition entries).

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you (in practice, any emails you've sent us), and ask us to delete it. This does not include anything we're obliged to keep for legal or security reasons. To make a request, email [email protected].

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
